Zach started Scrap Squad the same way most things worth doing get started — with a truck, a work ethic, and a neighbor who needed a hand.
What began as a side job hauling junk for people in the community turned into something unexpected: a full-time business built almost entirely on word of mouth. People in Wilmington kept calling because Zach showed up when he said he would, charged what he quoted, and got the job done right. That's still the whole business model today.
Scrap Squad is local in the truest sense. They live here, work here, and take their reputation in this community seriously. When you call, you're not getting a national franchise or a call center — you're getting a crew from right here in Delaware who treats your property like it matters, because it does.
No corner-cutting. No disappearing after taking a deposit. They haul what they say they'll haul, show up on time, and leave your space cleaner than they found it. No gimmicks, no surprises on the bill.
If you've got junk, scrap, debris, or a space that's gotten out of hand — Scrap Squad is the crew to call.
Follow along on Facebook and Instagram to see recent jobs and what the crew has been up to. Ready to get started? Fill out the form below and Zach will get back to you with a quote.

Everything else goes to permitted landfills—we provide documentation of disposal locations if you need it for estate or business records.

Preferably yes for the initial walkthrough so we can confirm exactly what's being removed and provide a final price. After that, you can leave if needed—just ensure we have clear access to all areas and items. For estate cleanouts where families may find the process emotional, many clients prefer to be off-site after the initial walkthrough.

Yes for initial walkthrough (10-15 minutes) to confirm items and approve pricing. After that, you can leave if comfortable with our judgment on borderline items. Most Wilmington clients stay for peace of mind, but it's not required once work is approved.
We take construction debris (drywall, lumber, flooring, roofing shingles, siding, windows, doors), renovation waste (cabinets, countertops, fixtures, tile), demolition materials (concrete, brick, block), and yard debris. Can't take hazardous materials (asbestos, lead paint chips, contaminated soil) or liquid waste. Mixed loads accepted but sorted for proper disposal.
